Roopa Mahadevan
Roopa Mahadevan is a leading second-generation Carnatic classical and crossover vocalist in the American diaspora, known for her powerful and emotive voice. She leads the crossover ensemble Roopa in Flux, where she works with musicians in jazz, soul/R&B, and various global traditions. At the 1st Annual Awaken Florida Festival in Spring Hill, she will perform unique pieces from her repertoire of Indian classical and crossover music to convey vulnerability, beauty, and strength, reminding us of the power of art to release us from ourselves.
